Getting Started
-
Our complimentary Intro Session is an opportunity for us to learn about you and determine the best path toward your goals.
1. Body Composition Assessment
We'll begin with a Styku 3D body scan to establish your starting point. This provides valuable information including body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, measurements, posture analysis, weight, and more.
2. Movement Assessment
Next, we'll guide you through several basic movement patterns to assess mobility, stability, strength, and overall movement quality.
This allows us to identify strengths, weaknesses, limitations, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Personalized Game Plan
Finally, we'll review everything we learned and provide a customized plan designed specifically for your goals, lifestyle, and starting point.
-
Yes. The Intro Session is completely complimentary.
Many facilities charge for assessments and consultations, but we believe finding the right coaching fit should be risk-free. Consider it a test drive before making an investment in your health and fitness.
Our goal is to help you determine whether Inertia Fitness Co. is the right fit for your needs and vice versa.
Personal Training
-
All personal training sessions are 60 minutes long.
We've found this is the ideal amount of time to properly warm up, complete an effective workout, and finish with any necessary recovery work without feeling rushed.
-
While every coach has their own style, most sessions follow a similar structure:
1. Warm-Up & Movement Preparation
We'll begin with a personalized warm-up designed to improve mobility, activate key muscle groups, and prepare your body for training.
2. Strength Training & Main Workout
The majority of your session will focus on strength training and progressive exercise. We carefully select exercises based on your goals, experience level, mobility, and current fitness level to ensure you're training safely and effectively.
3. Recovery & Accessory Work
We'll finish with accessory exercises, conditioning, mobility work, or recovery-focused movements to help support long-term progress and recovery.
-
Absolutely.
Our coaches hold nationally recognized certifications, advanced continuing education credentials, and many have college degrees in exercise science or related fields.
Beyond certifications, our team participates in ongoing education, coaching development, and weekly staff training to ensure we're always delivering the highest level of service possible.
-
Either option works.
If you've already identified a coach you'd like to work with (See trainers here), you're welcome to request them directly.
If you're unsure, we'll match you with the coach whose expertise, personality, schedule, and coaching style best align with your goals.
-
Nutrition guidance is included with every training membership.
We believe exercise and nutrition work hand-in-hand, and addressing both gives you the best opportunity for long-term success.
While we stay within our professional scope of practice, all of our coaches are trained to help clients build sustainable nutrition habits that support their goals.
For clients looking for additional accountability, habit coaching, and nutrition support, our Hybrid Coaching program offers even more comprehensive guidance through the Inertia Fitness Co. app.
-
Many of our clients begin training with existing injuries, chronic pain, movement limitations, or previous surgeries.
Our coaches have experience working with individuals dealing with ACL injuries, meniscus tears, shoulder injuries, hip and back pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, and more.
While we do not replace medical professionals, we can often modify exercises, work around limitations, and implement corrective exercise strategies to help you train safely and confidently. When appropriate, we also collaborate with healthcare providers and physical therapists to support your progress.
-
No. Inertia Fitness Co. is a private personal training facility and does not offer open gym memberships or unsupervised gym access.
Our facilities are designed specifically for coached training sessions, allowing us to provide a more personalized experience and ensure our clients have access to the equipment and support they need during their workouts.
In addition to one-on-one personal training, we also offer Partner Training, Small Group Personal Training, and select group-style workouts and community events throughout the year.
Hybrid & Online Coaching
-
Personal Training
Personal Training takes place in one of our facilities with a coach guiding you through every workout. This option is ideal for those who want hands-on coaching, accountability, and exercise instruction in person.
Online Coaching
Online Coaching gives you a customized workout and nutrition plan that you complete independently. Your coach provides guidance, accountability, and ongoing support through our coaching app, along with regular check-ins and coaching calls.
Hybrid Coaching
Hybrid Coaching combines the best of both worlds.
You'll work with a coach in person while also receiving customized workouts, nutrition coaching, habit tracking, and accountability through our app. This allows you to make progress both inside and outside the gym while staying connected with your coach throughout the week.
-
Our coaching app serves as the hub for your training, nutrition, accountability, and communication with your coach.
Customized Workouts
Your coach uploads personalized workouts complete with exercise videos, sets, reps, rest periods, and detailed instructions. The app also tracks your workout history, personal records, and progress over time.
Nutrition Coaching
We provide customized calorie and macronutrient targets based on your goals, body composition, activity level, and lifestyle. You can track your nutrition directly in the app or connect MyFitnessPal for seamless tracking and accountability.
For clients who want additional guidance, we can also create customized AI-powered meal plans that include simple recipes, meal ideas, grocery lists, and portion recommendations tailored to your preferences and goals.
Habit Tracking
Success happens outside the gym, which is why we help you track important habits such as daily steps, water intake, sleep, and other behaviors that support your goals.
Direct Coach Communication
Message your coach directly through the app using text or voice messaging. This allows you to receive support, ask questions, and stay accountable between sessions.
Wearable Integration
Connect devices such as Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, and other wearables to automatically sync activity data, steps, workouts, and additional health metrics.
-
Not necessarily.
If your goals require access to strength training equipment, we may recommend joining a gym or training at one of our facilities. However, we can also create effective workouts designed for home gyms, apartments, hotels, travel, bodyweight training, or cardio-based fitness goals.
Your program will be built around the equipment and resources available to you.
-
We recommend starting with an Intro Session so we can better understand your goals, experience level, and needs.
In general:
Personal Training is best for those who need hands-on coaching and accountability.
Hybrid Coaching is ideal for individuals who want both in-person coaching and support outside the gym.
Online Coaching works best for motivated individuals who are comfortable training independently but still want expert guidance and accountability.
Many clients begin with more in-person coaching and gradually transition toward Hybrid or Online Coaching as they build confidence and consistency.
-
Absolutely.
We encourage clients to log workouts, nutrition, habits, body weight, progress photos, and other metrics within the app. The more data we have, the better we can identify trends, make adjustments, and help you achieve your goals more efficiently.
