We’re located conveniently near uptown, near the Panthers stadium and Johnson & Wales University. We’re under the apartment complex “Gateway West” near the leasing center.
We’re on the 4th st side of the apartment complex. You’ll see our sign right outside of the entrance of the parking garage.
-
Yes and it’s FREE! There’s a parking garage near the gym. Our spots are near the back left corner near a fenced-in area. You’ll see 4 white signs that say “Inertia Fitness Co. Parking”
If for some reason there isn’t parking available there, then you can park in the QR code spots. You will NOT need to pay for these if you park there Mon-Sat from times 7am-5:30pm. You can park in the AAA parking spots near ours after 6pm M-F.
Evaluation Session
-
The IFC Evaluation session is well… a chance for us to evaluate you and for you to evaluate us!
1) You’ll start with our Styku 3D body scan. This will give us a bunch of data and a great idea of where you’re starting. We’ll see your Body fat, muscle mass, metabolism, measurements, weight, etc.
2) Then we’ll do our movement assessment. We’ll have you do basic exercise movement patterns and see how well you can do them. This will show us your strengths, weaknesses, and more importantly, mobility issues you may have.
3) Next we’ll put you through a short exercise circuit to see your current fitness level. We’ll use exercises you can perform carefully and will push you just enough to see what we can work on.
4) Lastly we’ll summarize our findings from the evaluation. This will give you a good idea of the plan we’d create for you to reach your goal!
-
Yes the IFC evaluation is FREE! ($199 Value)
Many places charge for an evaluation but we give you the first session for FREE so we can make sure Inertia is a good match for you. Think about this as a test drive, this is an investment for your health and we know once you try our service you’ll know this is the best solution for you.
Personal Training
-
Our training sessions are 60 minutes long.
We currently don’t offer any other time variations as we believe this is the right amount of time to warm up properly, exercise efficiently, and cool down.
However, if you need a different offering, I advise you to reach out and we can see what we can do.
-
Depends on the trainer, but most sessions will have the following flow:
1) A proper warm-up and primer. This is meant to decrease injuries while increasing range of motion, muscle activation, and more strength.
2) Afterwards, we hop right into the workout. We are a Weight Lifting based gym so you’ll be doing some sort of lifts according to your experience level. We Carefully choose exercises and variations that match your goals and fitness level. We make sure the workout is as efficient as possible.
Lastly, we wrap up the workout with either a short cool-down or accessory work. Working out for 60 minutes can be exhausting and stressful for the body. So we usually end with some movements or cool down to help aid you recovery for your next workout.
-
Our trainers are all certified and accredited personal trainers.
Most of our trainers hold degrees, multiple certifications, and even masters. We select only the top notch trainers not only in practice but also mindset and personality.
-
Either option works!
If there’s a trainer you seem to match with (See trainers here) then you can choose the one you like and do your evaluation session with them to make sure it’s a good match.
OR we can help match you with a trainer we best think can help you achieve your goal.
-
Nutrition is INCLUDED in every personal training plan we offer.
It would be silly to have you workout without addressing nutrition as this will help you see the best result!
We can only give nutrition advice within our scope of practice but all of our trainers are highly trained in the nutrition field and a few have certifications focused on them.
Though, hybrid training plans have more thorough nutritional tools and accountability VIA our Inertia Fitness Co. App!
-
We can handle MOST Injuries and in some cases help fix these injuries.
We’ve had clients with big injuries like torn ACLs, meniscus, labrum, post-op surgeries, etc. But also clients with acute pains in the back, hip, neck, and shoulder.
We try our best to either work around these injuries or use corrective exercise practices to help aid or prevent them.
Online/Hybrid Training
-
Personal Training= Working out in our facility with a trainer.
Online Training= Our trainers create a Workout & Nutrition plan for you to do by yourself. Weekly or Monthly coaching calls to help.
Hybrid= Online + Personal Training. You get the best of both worlds by working with a trainer in our facility AND having them create a plan on our app for you to do workouts, cardio, and nutrition when you’re not with us.
-
The App we use is called Trainerize and it’s a very thorough fitness app with plenty of features that allow us to help you achieve your goals.
-Workouts: We can upload workouts in the app on specific days of your calendar. We can track the weight and reps you do for each exercise. Also, there are videos for each exercise to show you how to do them properly.
-Nutrition: We can upload nutrition and macronutrients into the app which you can track via MyfitnessPal or on the App! This data is then put on a chart so we can see how consistent you’ve been with your nutrition.
-Habits: We can create habit goals for you and you can track how well you’ve adhered to these habits.
-Direct Messaging: You can directly reach out to your trainer via the app. This allows you to have more access to your trainer than if you were just doing personal training.
-Fitness Devices: You can connect your Apple Watch, FitBit, Garmin, etc to our app. This tracks your steps and many more data points for us to use.
There are MANY more features but you can watch (THIS) video to see more about it.
-
Depends but not necessarily.
If your goals require to do weight training and you don’t have a gym then we may ask you to find a facility before doing hybrid training.
But we can make at-home, bodyweight, hotel, travel, apartment, and cardio workouts for you to do if it makes sense for you goal and you don’t want to go to the gym.
-
We advise for you to do the evaluation session in person before choosing one of these options.
Usually, if you’re very new to the gym OR struggle with going to the gym and working out by yourself then we’d advise you to start with more days of In-person training and THEN move to an online/hybrid option.
-
YES. You can track nearly everything in our app and we encourage you to do so because more data= better results.
